My finals finished... almost two weeks ago, but shortly after that I had a bit of a privacy scare.. I didn't want to delete the blog so I put it on lockdown for a while. By which I mean, I made is to that only authors could view it (i.e. only me).
However, that is over and done now, and I figured I would write this post to let people know that I am, in fact, still alive.
Anyway, I'll be moving back to the dorms this weekend. I know, moving back to the dorms for the summer, what kind of blasphemy is that?
Well, I have a job there :D
I will be working for my professor over the summer, and had to apply for summer housing in order to do that (I didn't want to get an apartment).
I'm sure nobody here cares about the details of what I do for work, it's quite boring to most people.. but WPI has shut down their reactor, and we want to buy the fuel that they are now not going to use. So, before we do that, we have to do calculations to make sure that the fuel can be safely run in our reactor, since WPI uses a different setup in theirs.
In order to do this, I had to order several complex computer codes from the government... and had to promise not to make weapons in order to do so >___>
So that's what has happened recently in my life.
By the way, I am not planning on sharing what my privacy scare was, very few people know, so don't bother asking.

I'm going on a trip
Literally, not the drug slang >_>
I'm going to Michigan for the national ANS student conference. It should be interesting, it's one of the largest gatherings of potential employers in the nuclear field, so I'm going to have to print out several resumes prior to going. There are 8 of us going from the school, and we are driving (it's a tad long of a drive). We are leaving at 10pm tomorrow night.
However, this also means that I am going to miss classes on thursday and friday. :/ Oh yeah, and all of my work for this week has to be done by tomorrow too, so that I can have someone hand stuff in for me.

Pride Alliance
I finally found them at a meeting.
I think the best word to describe them was... um gay, lol. The gay guys there were of the type that couldn't hide it even if they wanted to.
I didn't really say much. I was sort of uncomfortable with the fact that I recognized two of the people there. They aren't people that I see on a daily basis though. Though, according to someone else in the group, they are both straight...
At one point in the meeting, one of the guys turned to me and said "Am I counting you?"
I was like... "er, what?"
And he said "Am I counting you as one of the straight people here?"
So I just smiled and said "no."
That's pretty much the all I said, except for my name.
Though, they did sort of piss me off a couple times... mostly stereotype things. They were talking about events and how all gay men like to dance. I was thinking to myself... but I -hate- dancing. They were also talking about lady gaga. I hate to point out to them that I don't listen to her. I mean really, am I the only gay guy that -doesn't- like music that's been stereotypically labeled as "gay guy music"?!
*sigh*
In other news, I walked back to my dorm from campus in that blizzard yesterday. Lets just say it's a 1.5 mile walk, and my inner thigh muscles have been sore all day today.

Snow Day
Well okay, I had morning classes. But classes from noon onward were canceled. Which works for me, as it got me out of Heat Transfer (which means the homework isn't due until friday now). The funny part is, it's not even that bad out. The snow hasn't even really stuck on the roads. Which is ironic, because last time it snowed the roads were horrendous, and classes were still in session. I think the chancellor is just trying to avoid more angry emails.
On a side note, I haven't had a haircut since september. Normally I have a military cut, but I decided to let it grow out. I might point out that my mother hates this. I considered posting a picture here, but I decided not to. If you talk to me regularly on msn, you've seen me anyway. I think I'm going to go get it trimmed, as it's begun curling in the back. Since it isn't curling anywhere else, I think it looks kinda stupid :S
On another side note, I just had to close and reopen firefox. Know how when you have the internet window open, it displays the name of the web page at the top and at the bottom on the task bar? Well I seem to have managed to make firefox display those in japanese. I should also say that how I managed this is beyond me- I am baffled. However, closing and reopening the browser seems to have reset it to english.
Oh well...
Oh yeah, and since today was a snow day, I have no idea if the shuttles are still running. Which means, if they aren't, then I can't make it to this supposed Pride Alliance group meeting- if they are even still meeting tonight. *sigh*

Classes start Monday
I know I haven't been posting much, but I've been on break and there really hasn't been much to post to be quite honest. I've been lazing around all day. I kind of feel bad for sleeping until noon every day lol :P
I met James last night (I kind of feel weird calling you James >_>). He's a nice person :) if a bit.. direct. lol. Four of us had dinner in the Boston area. It was a bit awkward for me at first, as I've never been with people who know that I'm gay, but I became more comfortable as the night progressed (no I wasn't drinking >_>). Overall, it was a nice night.
I move back into my dorm tomorrow afternoon... classes for the spring semester start on Monday. I need to find an internship, but there aren't many in my area. :/
I mean, I can apply at seabrook, but even if I get that internship, I don't have a place that I can live while I'm working there for the summer. I'd end up having to like, get an apartment. And not just that, but I'd end up having to buy a car as well. It's just annoying. Yeah, I know, I should have a car anyway. But I just haven't had a need for one. I take the bus to class.
Sigh. Oh well. I'll have to work something out. Hopefully my professors can help with the internship thing. Most of the nuclear-based internships in my area are medical, which isn't really what I'm looking for...
I guess that's all for now... this post is longer than I thought it was going to be.
*hugs*

Epididymitis
So like a week ago my left testicle had a bit of pain in it. I thought maybe I was just being paranoid after reading Josh's blog posts about having pain down there and shrugged it off as imagined the first couple times. Then I was like okay maybe I slept on it wrong. But wednesday night (I was dog-sitting for my uncle at the time) it became a constant ache. And last night (thursday) I pretty much cried myself to sleep cause of the pain. So this morning I went to the doctor, and it turns out I have epididymitis, which is apparently inflammation caused by some kind of infection. So now I'm on an antibiotic and waiting for that to start bringing the pain level down.
In other news, my mom was telling me about how my father should take me to a strip club for my 21st birthday. And all I said was 'no.' And she said 'why you might like it, you never know' and I just said 'no.' She wouldn't freaking just let it go! I'm like wtf.
I'm considering confronting her about it. I had formed this conversation in my head with me saying something like this:
"Look, you put me in an incredibly uncomfortable position when you asked me if I was gay in the car, and I gave you an honest answer. But you don't seem to be able to believe me. When you made that comment about going to a strip club for my birthday, I was insulted. If Cindy wasn't there I would have said something to you, but instead I held my tongue. I wish you would just accept me instead of hoping I will become someone I'm not."
I know, it's not exactly perfect. If you guys have any advice that would be great...
hugs
ps. Cindy is my mum's friend who came down from Maine, she's been staying in our camper out in the yard with her 3 daughters. Ugh, girls are kind of annoying.

Well I'm a nerd
Did anyone play the original red and blue version of pokemon? I was remembering how you could duplicate the 6th item in your list by speaking to the guy that shows you have to catch a pokemon, and then flying to cinnabar island and fighting MISSINGNO by surfing next to the gym. Hahaha I'm a nerd, can you tell? :D
Well I went to my brother's 8th grade "commencement" thingy yesterday, so there were quite a few cute boys. Too bad they are so young. Oh well.
Anyway.. yeah he is starting high school in the fall, and he is trying out for the football team. Well, he's a pretty small person, so I expect he's going to get pummeled haha. I dunno, I couldn't talk him out of trying out. So we will see how that works out :P
Well here are photos of another dragon. (I still have lots of dragons that I haven't posted too.. hehe)
Just two photos today, I decided that I like them better with the flash on, so you have to deal with it :P (plus it's been dark and rainy today so the photos with no flash looked crappy and stuff)
1 and 2
Okay that's it for now :)

Sadness
Well I don't typically keep up with the news much (it's bad, I know) but I read Mr. HCI's blog and discovered that our new president has already backstabbed us. :( I was hoping he wouldn't.
*sigh*
Well in slightly happier news, I went in the pool today. It was cold >.<
But my brother had a (cute) friend over and they were in the pool so I spent much of the day enjoying the view (aka perving) ;)
Sorry, I don't have any new dragon pics today... I was too lazy to take any. Next time :P

Bah, rain.
It's been a pretty depressing summer so far. I mean, it hasn't even really been warm enough to use the pool :(
And also, I had applied for a MEFA loan (who I usually get my financial aid through) and I got denied this year. So great, I have no financial aid. I need to find some, I've contacted my school's financial aid office and hopefully will get a response soon. Otherwise I don't see how I can continue school, there's no way I can pay for it myself.
Oh, and I also got a haircut today (sorry mirrorboy). I do prefer having short hair :P
The guy at the salon is really nice though, he's awesome. I walked in and he said woah! I guess he'd never seen my hair that long XD (admittedly, it wasn't really long, but for me it was- I've had a military cut for like over 10 years now... I might change it this winter, I'm still not sure).
I've also been applying for jobs all over the place, and have heard nothing :(
Although I did get the phone number of the lead pharmacist at the Rite Aid near my house. Even though I'm not a pharmacy student, if I can get a job as an assistant, that would be awesome :) (it still pays, plus a pharmacy job could look good on a resume :D)
That's all that's really happening in my life right now. Although, my mom is better. So thats good.
Pictures of a new dragon ;)
Here: 1, 2, 3, 4
The last two pictures are the same as the first two, except I turned on the flash. Tell me which you like better :)
Although, in the first two pictures, you can -almost- make out my reflection in the orb if you click to enlarge the photo ;P
Well that post was pretty all over the place, so I guess that's it for now :)

Not all emergency room nurses are intelligent.....
Well I decided to post this. But it's pretty cringeworthy so be warned, lol.
My two front teeth on the top are false (crowns now) because of an accident that happened.... I guess 7 years ago now. O.O it doesn't seem like that long.
Well I was running around outside in the front yard like a typical 13 year old :P
Then, I tripped. Unfortunately the front stairs, which are made of stone, were right in front of me at the time. Turns out, your face doesn't break stone stairs, they break your face XD
My two top front teeth got broken clean in half, and the roots were exposed to the air. I didn't feel anything at first because I guess I was in shock. >.>
So, to the emergency room we went. Well I guess part of one of the teeth had punctured my lower lip or something. So the nurse had me put an ice pack on it. Recall that the roots on the top are exposed at this time. I kind of wanted to throw things at her head.
Well I ended up sitting in a dentist's chair for like 4 hours while he rebuilt my teeth. First they put medication in it to try to keep the teeth alive, since apparently they weren't developed enough to root canal (too wide he said). And they were like that for a while.
When they were able to be root canaled.. well he did it :P The problem is, they were beginning to abcess, so the novacaine had no effect. I had feeling in my teeth when he started the root canal (it hurts, you know). So he had to put novacaine directly in the tooth, or something. Once they were numb it went fine. Then I got fitted and they were crowned.
I guess that's the end of that story, lol. I suck at telling stories apparently :P
In other, slightly less painful news, I spent 6 hours in the computer lab doing my statistics project today. Ug. I'm glad I'll never have to take stats again. So I'm a little burnt out today. I was gonna wait until tomorrow to post this story... but I was bored haha.
I guess that's it for now :P
