Sigh

My mom kind of pissed me off in the car today. She was going on and on about how she was going to live with me and clean my house for me. She said 'she would live in one wing of the house and "my wife and I" could live in the main building.' I was like.. wtf mom, no you are not going to live with me. She seems to have some kind of delusion that I'm going to live in a mansion or something. And the wife comment pissed me off because she put me through the stress of answering that question "do you think you're gay?" for the first time. I answered honestly, and she seems to have rejected my answer.

ARRGHHH

I didn't say anything to her, I simply shook my head.

P.S.
I always thought people were silly for claiming to have fallen in love over the internet.
:S

She asked if you think you're gay, and you said yes, and she didn't accept it?

I'm wondering why she asked if she didn't think it might be so.

People are funny.

Yes, that appears to be the case. I think she is just pretending that the conversation never happened. Maybe she actually forgot about it, idk.

My mom sometimes says stuff like that. Fortunately, I have 2 younger brothers - so they'll be with them 2/3 of the year. :-P

Though honestly, I don't think my parents would want to live with me long-term. Maybe for an "extended visit."

Mildly annoying that your mom's still denying the fact that you told her you're gay quite some time ago. :-/

Oh my god, my mom is so nosy, there would be no such thing as a relationship if she lived with me ._. no thanks, mom.

Well, it's no sillier than people who claim to love and be loved by a God they've never seen and only have witness of through old religious texts.

Well I think it's a little different than that in the fact that the other person is actually responding to you over the internet.. >_>

Anyway... I don't think it's so silly anymore... :S

It's a start. This will probably resurface in a week or three. My mom didn't ask the question, but she spent several *years* pointing out that character X is gay on TV, or that this actor is gay, or that her exec at work has a secret "partner," and so on. I took those as "it's okay to tell me," hints, and they were apparently just gossip.

I think it is quite silly too =)

Hey Jeremy, just found your blog. It's amazing how different parent's reactions seem to be. Best of luck to you, I hope she comes around soon.
